Torbjörn Zetterberg

Torbjörn Zetterberg - “The almost unjustly talented” (Sonic Magazine) Torbjörn Zetterberg was born in Stockholm (Sweden) in 1976. Only one year after graduating from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Zetterberg released his debut album on the esteemed Swedish label Moserobie Music Production (2002). Since then he has released eight albums and received two Grammy Award nominations for “Förtjänar Mer Uppmärksamhet” (2004) and “Krissvit” (2005). Besides his solo projects, Zetterberg has recorded as a co-leader for Moserobie Music Production, Clean Feed and Ayler Records. In the past few years he worked with Jonas Kullhammar, Carlos Garnett, Sonny Fortune, Sonny Simmons, Ivo Perelman, Benny Golson, Benny Bailey, and Mulato Aztatke. Torbjörn's playing has been described as “primordial force and beauty in perfect harmony” according to the Swedish newspaper Expressen and as “monumental” according to the Norwegian magazine Jazznytt).
